Day 19 - Monday 30th March 2009

Yawn! I am a tiredy boy!

We were all up early again this morning and Auntie Sarah went out for a little bit, so Lovely Nina and Sophie looked after me. The big boys were still in bed!

Auntie Sarah then came back and then went out again with the Big Boys.

Auntie Sarah then came back and gave us Big Dogs some treats and then she went out again with Lovely Nina and Sophie.

I had a lovely big sleep in my crate (where do I not do any wee-wees any more!) and when I woke up everybody was home again. Like magic!

I have been a very clever boy today and I have started giving Auntie Sarah my paw when I would like a treat. She is having to give me treats every time that I sit and give her my paw because I am soooooooooooo clever and so I am sitting and giving her my paw all the time  ;o)

She is also very pleased with me because now I run to my crate and sit and wait for her to bring my food in as soon as I see her take the lid off of the special bix where my food lives. And then I sit and waitwaitwait like a very good boy while she slowly puts my bowl full of food in my crate and I do not even sniff it until she tells me to "go on then". How clever is that for a very little boy?  :oD

We went for a very long drive in the car tonight. I am too big for my travelly house now and so Auntie Sarah put my harness on me and strapped me in on the back seat with Kyle. Uncle Bran sat on the floor by Lovely Nina so that he could keep an eye on Auntie Sarah's driving. Just to make sure she was doing it right.

We drove all the way to the other side of the world (Auntie Sarah note: we went to Frankley services) and then the car stopped and Auntie Sarah put our leads on and there was ANOTHER new person to meet. He was a very lovely man who smelled lovely and his name is Stewart. He is Lovely Nina's man and I love him. Uncle Bran told me that he loves Stewart and Flora loves Stewart lots and lots and lots. Just to show Stewart what a clever boy I am, I walked on my lead next to Uncle Bran to the plants where Auntie Sarah told us that we were allowed to have a wee-wee. Me and Uncle Bran stood right next to each other in the exact same position and did a wee-wee at the exact same time! Aren't we clever boys??

After Stewart and Lovely Nina and Kyle had made big fusses of me (oh and Uncle Bran), me and Uncle Bran were clipped on to leads in the very back of the car where there lots of comfy blankets for us to lie on. It was so comfy that I just snuggled right up to Uncle Bran and went fast asleep.

We drove all the way back to the other side of the world with only Auntie Sarah in the car. Lovely Nina and Kyle and Stewart did not come back to Auntie Sarah's house with us  :o(  When we got home though, Tom was still there! I was very excited to see him.

I do like meeting new people, Mummy, they are very exciting!

Day 18 - Sunday 29th March 2009

We all had a very lazy lie-in this morning and everybody sat in the lounge in their pyjamas. The big boys slept downstairs with us big dogs last night so after we had our wee-wee this morning we got to jump and bounce all over them and give them great big kisses. They liked it lots!

Me and Uncle Bran had a veryvery very noisy fight. Everybody does laugh at me when we fights though and I don't know why. I am a Big Dog and they should not laugh at me!!

When it was lunchtime, I went in my crate for my lunch and my sleep and all the people went out and let us dogs have some peace and quiet.

They came back and were very noisy! They were all talking and laughing and the children were very happy.

Lovely Nina and Auntie Sarah and Nanny and Sophie went out into the garden to sit at the table because it was lovely and sunshiney so me and Uncle Bran got to run and run around the garden while Auntie Flora did sunbathing in her crate again.

Me and Uncle Bran did do some sunbathing as well.

Do you think I have grown much since you went on holiday, Mummy? Auntie Sarah says that I am HOOOOOGE and that you will not recognise me. Silly Auntie Sarah! I'm your special little boy so of course you will recognise me! She says that my eyes are starting to change colour now and they are greener. Can you see, Mummy?

Don't tell him because he will think I'm a wuss and not a Big Dog at all, but my favouritest place to sit or sleep is right next to Uncle Bran. I love him lots.

Me and Uncle Bran were very helpful to Auntie Sarah and decided to do a little bit of gardening for her.

Nanny told us off and got up to do the gardening instead, so we sat and watched her.

But all those dangling plants were just too tempting for a naughty little boy!

When we came back into the house, I did beat Uncle Bran up again  ;o)

Day 17 - Saturday 28th March 2009

It is Jacob's burpday today! He is 13 years old. That means he is nearly as big a boy as me, Mummy!

Me and Uncle Bran had cuddles with Lovely Nina while Jacob opened presents.

And then Uncle Bran tried to squish Tom!

Lots and lots and lots of my favourite people came to see me today! They all gave Jacob things called "presents" but I know that they only came to see me.

Grumpy came to see me first of all. He keeps telling Auntie Sarah that she will miss me when I go home and she says that she won't because I'm a burger! And then he tells her that Uncle Bran will miss me when I go home and she says that he's right. Ahhhh.....

Nanny came to see me next of all. She loves me lots.

Auntie Sarah's friend Sarah and a man and the lovely baby and a little boy who sings and laughs lots came to see me next. The little boy (his name is Zack) sat and talked to me and made Sophie play games where they pretended to be me and Uncle Bran and wiggled their bottoms lots!

Granny and Bamp came to see me next. They didn't really talk to me much because Jacob was playing his guitar and I had to stay in my crate because Auntie Sarah was afraid that they wouldn't see me and stand on me by accident. I don't want people to stand on me! I was very happy to stay in my crate.

Jacob and Tom and Kyle went out on the night time. Auntie Sarah was sad because she said that it was the first time that Jacob had gone out on his birthday by himself. But he didn't go out by himself - he went out with Tom and Kyle. She's silly sometimes.

Auntie Sarah and Sophie and lovely Nina watched a film called Marley and Me while the big boys were out. They all cried. I don't know why. It was a film about a very naughty yellow labrador and Auntie Sarah said that if they'd wanted to tell the truth then it should have been chocolate!

Me and Uncle Bran played with my little leopard.

First of all, he had it

but then I stole it off of him. Because I am a Big Dog  :o)

Day 16 - Friday 27th March 2009

It was a VERY exciting day today!

First of all, Auntie Sarah went out saying that she had to go to see the doctor. I don't think she did though.

And then Nanny came and picked up Jacob and Sophie.

And then, after a bit, Auntie Sarah and Jacob and Sophie and Nanny came back with NEW PEOPLE! There were 2 big boys called Tom and Kyle and a very lovely short old lady called Nina who smelled lovely. As expected they all called me "cute" and gave me lots of cuddles.

Tom and me having cuddles

Something veryveryvery exciting happened then! Auntie Sarah put my lead on me and she put Uncle Bran's lead on him. And then...............................we went out!! I walked with my feet on the floor! The lovely lady called Nina held my lead and I was a very good boy. I did not pull her and I walked very very nicely. We went to the park where Uncle Bran goes for his walks and there was no other dogs or people there. I tried to run around with Uncle Bran but my lead wouldn't let me go very far so Auntie Sarah decided to let me off of my lead because I am so good at coming back when she calls me. I had a lovely time, Mummy!! I sniffed lots of exciting smells and every time that Auntie Sarah called me I ran as fast as I could and sat by her feet so that she would give me a treat. The lovely Nina lady taught me how to play a very exciting game called "fetch". She found a little Orca sized stick and threw it a little way away from me and I ran and picked it up and brought it back to her. Each time she threw it a bit further away from me and each time I brought it back to her. It was brill!!

Me and the lovely Nina lady

Me on my lead

When we got home I was a very tired puppy boy and fell asleep on the rug and then under the raised feeder.

When Auntie Sarah took pictures of me sleeping, Uncle Bran tried to help her!

Day 15 - 26th March 2009

A busy busy day that made my head spin!

First of all we went to see the Treat Lady. Lots of people at the Treat Lady's house know my name now. Unfortunately, lots of people at the Treat Lady's house know that I'm not so cute and well behaved as they thought I was because I made quite a lot of noise when I was waiting with Auntie Sarah this time. When I went into the room, there was no Treat Lady but a Treat Man! I don't know why I was there but he stood me on the table and gave me lots and lots and lots of treats. I don't mind seeing people if all they're going to do is give me treats! (Auntie Sarah note: the Treat Man actually gave Orca an injection - his second vaccination - but he didn't even notice because he was too busy eating!)

When we went home, a new lady came to see me. Her name is Oma. She is scared of doggies though - even little ones - so I had my breakfast and my post-breakfast nap in my crate while she talked to Jacon and Sophie and Auntie Sarah. She gave them a bag that smelled like lots of yummy stuff but there was nothing for me  :o(

After I had my lunch, MORE new people came - a lady and a boy bigger than Jacob. They played with guitars for a bit and I played with their shoes.

And then even MORE new people came - a lady and some more boys. The lady played with me and the boys said that I was cute. Well why wouldn't they? I AM cute  ;o)

Day 14 - 25th March 2009

What a very strange day!!

Auntie Sarah and Jacob and Sophie have been rushing around making the house smell nice all day.

First they took away all the carpets and got a big pink brush thing out and took all the fun fluffy things off of the floor. I like the fun fluffy things - they are fun to chase and yummy to eat! Then the floor got all wet with another brush thing and smelled nice. That's rubbish. Floors smell much better when they smell like puppy wee-wee  ;o)

Then Jacob banged about upstairs and Sophie banged about in the kitchen and Auntie Sarah moved bits of paper from one room to another.

And then the garden was made to smell all nice and fresh! Again - much better smelling of wee-wee!

It got a bit better when Nanny came to see me and give me a cuddle  :o)

Tuesday 24 March 2009

Day 13 - 24th March 2009

Well today has been rubbish!  :o(

Jacob and Sophie got up first this morning and let us all out for a wee-wee. Then Auntie Sarah got up and made a big fuss of us. She got into Auntie Flora's crate with her to give her a nice cuddle away from me and Uncle Bran. I think Auntie Flora liked it because her tail went flapflapflap on her bed.

But THEN I got my breakfast in the crate and they went out! Auntie Flora had her breakfast in her crate and Uncle Bran had his breakfast in the lounge, but Auntie Sarah and Jacob and Sophie went out!

I don't know where they went, but I think it might have been something to do with a burpday. I don't know what that is but they keep talking about Jacob having one soon.

And then they came home and I played and played and played out in the garden and came in and had great big cuddles with everybody - and Nanny was here too!

And then I got my lunch in the crate and they went out again!

At least when they came back this time, they smelled like yummy things and I got a special treat for being a good boy.

They have not gone out and left me again, Mummy, because I think I might phone the RSPCA if they do. Uncle Bran tells me that they are the people to call if you are a neglected puppy. I think I might be borderline neglected, because I have had only 1 treat today. Do you agree?

Day 12 - 23rd March 2009

I had to go to the place with lots of cats and dogs and rabbits and the Treat Lady again today. She did not give me any treats at all  :o(

I sat very very nicely on Auntie Sarah's lap for about a year (Auntie Sarah note: or about 10 minutes and he wasn't exactly contained on my lap because he has grown too big!). The man next to us had a very beautiful girly dog with a long, thin pointy nose. She was a bit scared of me but I gave her a big kiss and she smiled at me. The man told Auntie Sarah that I was a very well behaved boy. Auntie Sarah laughed lots.

The nice vet lady who wants to take me home was pleased to say me but did say that I seem to be "growing at a rapid rate of knots". What does that mean??? She said that my eye is all better and that I only need to take a few more tablets and have that squirty stuff in my eye for a few more days. She also said that I can go and have an injection at the end of the week. That does not sound nice at all, but Auntie Sarah said that it means that then I can go to the park and have a proper walk like Uncle Bran. Now that sounds nice!!

Auntie Flora has been very poorly again today and so Auntie Sarah had to take her to see the nice Treat Ladies as well. Uncle Bran told me that she is having a hopperayshun soon.

Love you lots, Mummy xxxxx

Day 11 - 22nd March 2009

It is a very special day today. Jacob and Sophie told me that today is the day when we tell our mummy's just how much we love them. They made breakfast in bed for Auntie Sarah and gave her presents. She also got the very special card from me - good plan, Mummy  ;o)

Because you are on your holidays, I can't really tell you how much I love you so I thought that this might help.....

Do you like it, Mummy? I love you very much and hope you're having a lovely holiday. I can't wait to give you a great big cuddle when you come home though.

After Auntie Sarah had had her special breakfast, she went with Jacob and Sophie to see Nanny and I had to stay here. That was rubbish, but I had my breakfast as they were going so I was sleepy anyway and needed a nap.

Then I went somewhere else new! I went to see people called Granny and Bamp. They are Nanny's Mummy and Daddy so they are very very very old. Auntie Sarah warned me to be on my very best behaviour and No Biting but I was on my bestest ever behaviour, Mummy. They had a lovely green garden to play in so I played ball with Jacob and Sophie and then I went to sleep in the travelly house.

When it was getting dark, me and Uncle Bran went in the car with Auntie Sarah and Jacob and Sophie and went to Nanny's house. It was brilliant!! She gave me some very yummy stuff called "beef". It was delicious and I cried when it was all gone. I met somebody else new there too. He is called Grumpy. I have not seen Grumpy before but Bran told me that he is lots of fun that we have to jump all over him. So I did. And I bited his fingers. And his toes. He called me rude names but gave me big cuddles as well.

I think I might not be able to use the travelly house much more, Mummy. When Auntie Sarah puts me in it, she has to push my head down to do the zip up and if I stretch out I can touch both ends of it! I have been VERY busy growing while you have been away!

Day 10 - 21st March 2009

What a brilliant day! It was very sunshiney here and Jacob and Sophie were not here for the morning - they stayed at Nanny's house last night - so Auntie Sarah put lots of special things out in the garden and we all played out there for ages and ages and ages.

Auntie Flora's very poorly again, Mummy, so Auntie Sarah put a great big crate out in the garden for her so that she could be outside in the sunshine with us. Doesn't she look comfy?

Me and Uncle Bran had lots and lots of fun playing.....

and sunbathing (not chewing things!).....

and chewing yummy things (well I did, Uncle Bran didn't - he's such a goody-goody!).....

The wild Mika beastie did some sunbathing and silly rolling around on top of Auntie Flora's crate.

My eye is nearly all better now, can you see?

Nanny came for a cup of tea and brought Jacob home. She makes lots of fuss of me and rubs my ears. I love Nanny. Then she took Sophie away again for a lonnnnnnnnng time, but then she came back just to see me again later on and brought Sophie home too. She just can't resist my cuteness  ;o)

Oooh all this sunshine and playing makes a little boy very sleepy y'know. Yawwwwwwwwn.....

Day 9 - 20th March 2009

Oooh it was very exciting here today!

I got to meet a "baby"!! And new people!! And Cooper came to visit!!

Auntie Sarah's friend (who is also called Sarah!) brought her baby over. His name is Sam and he is great fun. He tastes absolutely delicious! Me and Uncle Bran both had to give him big kisses.

He played on the floor on a very squishy comfy mat that me and Uncle Bran liked so much we decided to play on it too.

Sam was not scared of us at all, Mummy, and we were very very careful with him.

Jacob and Sophie did play with us and Sam lots. And I did not bit anybody's fingers at all. No I never  :o)

Well maybe I did just a little bit.

The Other Sarah did go a very funny colour when I decided to try and run away with Sam's dirty nappy. Silly, huh?

He's a bit lovely for a little human, isn't he?

Before I had my tea, Nanny came to collect Jacob and Sophie so I got to meet somebody else new. Her name is Georgie and she thought that I was very cute.

After I ate my tea, Pauline and Cooper came to Auntie Sarah's house. I was very good for just a little bit but Cooper was going sniffsniffsniff at me again and so I shouted lots at him in my best big boy bark. It didn't do much good though. Auntie Sarah put me in my crate  :o(  Grrrrr..... It's just not fair. Uncle Bran and Cooper had lots and lots of fun playing while Auntie Sarah and Pauline were chatting and I had to watch them from my crate  :o(  I am getting a bit bored with this so I think maybe I ought to not try my big boy bark on Cooper quite so often.

I will sleep on it....
